Guidelines

We accept poems in all forms/genres, preferably in 8 lines or fewer. Read our first issue to get a sense of what we do.

Please consider the following guidelines before submitting:

  • Collider is seeking intersections and other telepathic infinities in the form of previously unpublished poetry.
  • We do accept simultaneous submissions.
  • Please do not send us already-published work, although we may accept excerpts from works in progress.
  • We do not charge for submissions, and we also do not pay for publication.
  • We are looking for 8 lines or fewer, but the length you submit is up to you. Just know that we may only accept a portion of a longer piece.
  • If accepted, your poem will be quilted together with the other poems in the issue to create one poem-issue. The editing process involves removing borders and finding transitions, doorways, windows, paper-thin walls — places where these separately-created works can speak to each other.
  • Please send 1-3 poems that you think might play well with others (or not).
  • During open submission periods, we aim to respond within 1-4 months but often our review takes longer due to the nature of how we make each issue. Please feel free to reach out after 4 months have passed.
  • To make sure you receive our response to your submission, please add colliderpoetry@gmail.com to your contacts/ set your spam filter to allow colliderpoetry@gmail.com.
